This month I chose to paint April's Birth Flowers on, and in, a teacup. The back of the card represents the back of the teacup describing each flower's meaning. I think iit turned out really cute.

April has two birth flowers. The Daisy symbolizes purity, innocence and true love. The Sweet Pea conveys goodbye, good wishes, or thankfulness.

The card is blank inside with enough room to write an encouraging note, a personal greeting.

The folded card measures 3-1/2" wide by 5" tall. Fully opened the artwork is 7"x 5", with a white envelope.

Small cards are so sweet to get in the mail. They denote a personal correspondence that stands out from bills or ads. I use mine to encourage elderly friends each month. This is the smallest envelope size the post office accepts, and each card offers an opportunity to send a little art piece that can sit on a shelf or windowsill once it's read.
